Not all soils are the same, and it is precisely this variety that makes the region so rich and interesting. The well-exposed, sunny areas allow the vines to express their full potential, while the less favourable soils \u2013 such as those that are damp, cold, or located in the valley floor \u2013 remind us how important it is to find the right balance between nature and cultivation.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12 col-md-5 col-xl-4 twocols offset-md-1 offset-xl-2\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12 col-md-5 col-xl-4 twocols\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/article>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"beside-section\" style=\"background-color:#f8f4ed;\">\n\t<div>\n\t\t<div class=\"beside-content order-md-2 animate-scroll\" data-animations=\"animate__animated animate__fadeInUp delay10\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In Sopraceneri, the proximity of the Alps has a profound influence on the microclimate. Here, warm days alternate with cooler nights, creating an ideal temperature variation that promotes slower ripening of the grapes and preserves their freshness, aromatic finesse, and elegance. The subsoil also tells us a lot about this territory: mainly of granite and gneiss origin, it derives from the erosion of Alpine rocks and is often rich in mineral and detrital materials. These sandy, well-drained soils force the vines to send their roots deep into the ground, promoting balanced growth and contributing to the production of concentrated grapes that authentically express the character of the region.<\/p>\n<p>In Sottoceneri, on the other hand, the influence of the milder climate and proximity to the large lakes creates slightly different conditions. The temperatures and greater climatic stability favour more generous ripening of the grapes, contributing to the development of rich, harmonious, and very expressive wines that reflect the personality of this part of the canton.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"beside-image order-md-1\" style=\"background-image:url(https:\/\/www.gialdi.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/territorio-1-main.jpg)\"><\/div>\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"beside-section mt-0\" style=\"background-color:#f8f4ed;\">\n\t<div>\n\t\t<div class=\"beside-content animate-scroll\" data-animations=\"animate__animated animate__fadeInUp delay10\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Heterogeneous soils play a fundamental role. The presence of clay and limestone, the availability of micronutrients such as iron and manganese and the depth to which the roots can develop are all elements that directly influence the quality of the grapes and, consequently, the expression of the wine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The diversity of the territory is our greatest asset.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Territoriality, together with the climatic and morphological characteristics of the different production areas, is at the heart of our philosophy.
