Varietal composition: Chardonnay
Vineyards: Blenio Valley
Vinification: The crushed and partially destemmed grapes are subjected to a very light pressing to obtain the first-run juice, which is fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a temperature of 18 – 20°C. During the period between alcoholic and malolactic fermentation the lees are stirred up to once a week. Prior to bottling, the Carisma 2012 was blended with 8 % Chardonnay vinified in barriques.
Alcohol content: 12.5 % Vol.
Color: Intense straw-yellow with flashes of pale green.
Bouquet: Delicate, with tones of yellow flowers and citrus, and hints of citronella.
Palate: Superb balance between tart freshness and the full, rounded fruit make a wine that is as decisive as it is flattering; bold elegance right to the last of its persistent and mineral finish.
Serving temperature: 8 - 10°C.
Aging: The Carisma 2012 will reach its full expressive potential beginning in summer of 2013 and will continue to develop in character through 2017 and beyond if properly cellared.
