TERRE ALTE
BIANCO DI MERLOT - TICINO DOC

Variety: Merlot
Location of the vineyards
Tre Valli (Leventina, Rivera and Blenio Valley)
Winemaking: The must for this white Merlot is obtained from the free-run juice of the crushing and partial destemming and a very gentle subsequent pressing. It is fermented in stainless-steel tanks at a temperature of 18 – 20°C. In order to maintain characteristic freshness and savour, the Terre Alte is not permitted to undergo malolactic fermentation.
Alcohol content: 12,5 % vol
Color: Charged straw yellow.
Bouquet: Delicate and harmonious, with white peach notes and floral tones.
Palate: Fruity and dry. Fresh, harmonious and intense. Mineral and long at the finish.

Ideal Drink-Temperature:

8 – 10°C
Ageing potential: The Terre Alte 2009 will reach its full expressive potential beginning in summer of 2010 and will retain its character through 2013 and beyond if properly cellared.
Packaging: 50 cl. in cartons of 15 bottles 75 cl. in cartons of 6 bottles
