SWEET WINE
Vintage: 2006
Variety: 52% Müller Thurgau; 48% Muscat Blanc
Location of the vineyards
Blenio Valley (northern part of the canton Ticino)
Winemaking: Harvested only at the peak of maturity, the grapes are left to dry on palettes in specially thermoventilated chamber in order to obtain fruit of optimal concentration. The fruit is then carefully separated from the stems by hand and subjected to a gentle pressing. The extracted must is fermented and matured for 20 months in barrels of new French oak
Alcohol content: 12 % Vol. with 70g. residual sugar
Color: Brilliant tints of deep golden yellow
Bouquet: Complex aromas of quince, apricot, raisins, dates and dried figs dominate, accented by notes of citrus fruit and spice (saffron, curry and ginger).
Palate: A wine of great complexity and intensity, full-bodied and with a good balance between sweetness and acidity. Elegant, with a persistent finish and notes of apricot jam

Ideal Drink-Temperature:

8 – 10°C
Ageing potential: The Mino 2006 will reach its full expressive potential beginning in 2009 and will continue to develop in character through 2016 and beyond if properly cellared
