Pinot Noir from the Tre Valli Region (Leventina, Riviera and Blenio Valley)Chardonnay from Blenio Valley
Winemaking: The Pinot Noir undergoes crushing and destemming before the must is extracted in a very gentle pressing. Juice from the two varietals is vinified separately. Blending takes place only after the wines have fermented and matured for nine months in barrels of new (70 %) and one-year old (30 %) French oak. Between alcoholic and malolactic fermentation the lees are stirred (bātonnage) 1 to 2 times weekly
Alcohol content: 13 % vol.
Color: Intense and brilliant straw tinted yellow
Bouquet: Delicate, harmonious and complex. Hints of citrus fruits, with roasted notes and light nuances of ginger
Palate: Smooth and well-bodied. Elegant with a good balance, well-structured. Salty and persistent at the finish

Ideal Drink-Temperature:

12 - 14°C
Ageing potential: The Biancospino 2008 will reach its full expressive potential beginning in autumn 2009 and will continue to develop in character through 2016 and beyond if properly cellared
